Pasta is the way to my heart, and I'm glad Osteria La Buca was so close to my workplace! FLAVOR (4.75/5): 1. ARTICHOKES: Tell me why these are the best artichokes I've ever had? Wow. The lemon oil packs a punch... such a blast of flavor in that initial bite. And the texture as well! Some portions are crispier than others, so you get a nice range. One of the things on the menu that blew me away, as I've never had artichokes prepared like this before. 2. BURRATA: The burrata was delicious. Such a great pairing of sweet and savory with the grapes. This must be how Remy felt in Ratatouille 3. GUANCIALE PIZZA: The pizza was good! I like the crust, sauce, and cheese ratio. Good for sharing. 4. CACIO PEPE ARANCINI: The arancini is yummy! Great appetizer to start. 5. PAPPARDELLE BOLOGNESE: When it comes to pasta I've had a lot, and this pappardelle stood out to me. The pasta was cooked perfectly, and the sauce was rich and had so much depth - all without being too heavy. Wonderful. 6. TIRAMISU: The desserts are where it all started to fall flat to me. As far as tiramisu goes, this was okay. I wish the ladyfingers soaked up more of the coffee. 7. SALTED CARAMEL BUTTERSCOTCH BOUDIN: This was good texture-wise, but super sweet. I preferred the tiramisu. SERVICE (5/5): Service was great! My favorite part was the crayons they gave us so we could draw on the table. AMBIENCE (5/5): Came for lunch and it was a pleasant atmosphere; I imagine Osteria La Buca would be good for a date night dinner as well. TAKEAWAYS: I really enjoyed my time at Osteria La Buca and would definitely come back! I have my eye on the branzino and can't wait to try their other pastas as well.

We were treated well and were set with proper expectations of timeframe that we could be accommodated. We were looking for a good Italian restaurant to eat, and didnt have reservations. We liked what we saw in Yelp amd gave them a call. We were told that if we were to go in right then, we could eat but that we would only have an hour, as all tables were booked thereafter. We decided to gove it a try and were not disappointed. The food was amazing! Must try dishes are the short rib raviolis and pizza. We were seated next to a fireplace in a loft area. Service was excellent!

This was my first time at Osteria La Buca. I had driven by many a time and most people I knew had gone, so I figured it was time to check it out. I loved the ambience inside, soft lighting, hardwood floors and brick walls. The music was perfect, you could still hear it and enjoy it while chatting at your table. Our server was incredibly nice as well as very patient as we looked over the menu and asked questions. We went to with a seasoned vet who had been there a ton so we let them order the appetizers - Brussels sprouts, the artichokes and scallop crudo. My personal favorite was the artichokes, oh my goodness. My friends tried the branzino, the bucatini carbonara and the mushroom pizza. I had the spring pea ravioli. All were excellent, I may have found a new favorite spot. Good for groups, family and date night!
